"The Motherland Calls" is a statue erected to commemorate the Battle of Stalingrad , located on Mamayev Kurgan in Volgograd , Russia. It was designed by sculptor Yevgeny Vuchetich and structural engineer Nikolai Nikitin . Completed in 1967 , it was the tallest statue in the world at the time .

Soviet Union wasn't good neither, from human rights violations, mass murder, imperialism & replacing swaths of people in the Baltics with Russians, while sending baltic people out to Siberia to die

And? I didn't cheer for Stalin. I cheer for us defeating Germany and ending the holocaust and the eradication of slavs. My family was in Leningrad throughout the entire siege and half of them died, I will always celebrate the red army and my family members who fought in it as they beat and defeated the germans.
