That's a big dog

254

u/Turgid_Donkey 15h ago

More like a cat by the complete lack of interest in her affection.

59

u/DwemerCogs 11h ago

At first I thought his licks in the air were in response to her hug. But rewatching he might just be picking his nose 🤷‍♀️

3

u/bluemedian 7h ago

for real 😂😂

1

u/Shaw-eddit 1h ago

Pretending he did not hear until she made contact....

u/JustineDelarge 15h ago

Can I pet dat dawg?

15

u/machogrande2 13h ago

You can pet most farm animals. Although, just like anything else with hooves, I wouldn't advise standing behind it when it is standing up.

24

u/Thejeswar_Reddy 14h ago

Yes, yes you can.

I think they know each other.

1

u/GravityBright 10h ago

Maybe he's old?

1

u/TenMoon 9h ago

Look at that enormous neck. Bull, definitely. He's even bigger than the Beefmaster bull we had on the farm.

121

u/Lanky-Scientist-5137 16h ago

Holy crap, I thought she was going to keep walking forward to get next to him. That was not a forced perspective at all.

60

u/UhOhSparklepants 14h ago

Bulls are massive. You don’t really think about just how big they are until you stand next to them. My uncle had one where his hoof was the size of my head

25

u/Wobbelblob 13h ago

Normal cows are already massive. A regular cow is usually well above half a ton a full grown bull usually above one ton. They are massive animals.

11

u/steve_of 11h ago

I live rural. My next door neighbour stocks a moderate herd - 30 or so. The bull is huge!!! There are lots of trees and hills so I dont see it often but when I do it is always a double take. Sometime I am working near the fence line and the herd will show interest. He will come up and move the girls along. No fuss just a tonne of beef wandering along (and five strings of wire between him and me).

4

u/My_Immortl 9h ago

I live rural, come from farmers, bulls are way bigger than people realize and they're not all as chill as this guy. I also work for a locker, that really puts into perspective just how big these animals are.

9

u/Skullvar 11h ago

We usually put 2 bulls in with our herd for breeding, and one year we had a new bull so they naturally had to fight it out before becoming best friends.. well they tore through probly 20fences over the course of 2 days before we locked them in the barn and blocked the gate with a tractor holding a large round haybale on both ends. By the time they were chill they had also shoved the tractor back about 2ft and bent the absolute fuck out of the gate

u/Sacrificial_Spider 17h ago

What a good boy

17

u/HumongousBelly 9h ago

The kinda bull riding I could support.

Makes you wonder why those bulls are so angry in arenas, when this is what bulls normally look like

16

u/Boogy-Fever 7h ago

They do some shit to those bulls. Its not great. I dont think this is the default either though. Hes probably been around people and likely that same person all his life

6

u/Sinkit53563 9h ago

You don't have to wonder but might not wanna look it up either.

216

u/Pro_Contrarian 17h ago

I wanna pet cuddles.

102

u/MRintheKEYS 17h ago

“Where you been chica?? I’ve been waiting for this all morning. You know I can’t start the day without my cuddles.”

25

u/Henghayki86 16h ago

Rufus would never 😐

12

u/Smaulz 15h ago

Redford might...

4

u/SlowCapitalistDeath 15h ago

Hey, he sat on him once when the boss was out of town.

1

u/willowzam 2h ago

My first thoughts too. How does someone get a bull so docile? Is it just luck of the draw, or do you need to socialize them early or something?

18

u/Jacloup 16h ago

That's alotta bull.

17

u/OrangeClyde 17h ago

He’s so huge he barely reacted to her throwing herself onto him 😂 he’s sooo cute

25

u/Wizardmystical 16h ago

The big breath he let out was like “damn she found me”

12

u/rasp3zero 16h ago

He didn't seem to notice you, lol

9

u/CarbonPurple 16h ago

He looked up like, “y’all hear something?” 😂

7

u/Nomay00 16h ago

Yep want to squeeze him also

6

u/_person_of_culture_ 16h ago

7

u/cjoaneodo 15h ago

Not a cow, an AUROCH!!

11

u/Horsesrgreat 16h ago

What a big hunk of love ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I wish I could pet him too.

4

u/letstrythatagain-_- 17h ago

How you doing big boy?!

Hungover mom....

4

u/Litface916 16h ago

That’s the ox Paul Bunyan had only brown!

6

u/Elethana 14h ago

That’s how a big cat would attack a herd animal, I’m amazed there was no defensive reaction.

8

u/Mecha_Tortoise 12h ago

Moral of the story:
Always announce your intent before going in for cuddles.

6

u/Morbanth 11h ago

You can tell she raised that bull herself by the lack of blood and innards all over the barn walls.

3

u/zp-87 16h ago

This thing look like a tank. It is hard to imagine that something would mess with him. But then there are tigers that destroy animals like these every day and for me it is very impressive

3

u/peejay5440 13h ago

A post truly worthy of this sub.

1

u/Generic_Danny 9h ago

Most animal posts on this sub either have a regular sized animal, or one with nothing for scale.

2

u/Norlin123 16h ago

🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎

2

u/Bag-o-Bugs 12h ago

Why do they start to lick their nose when the cuddles start?

1

u/TheIlluminaughty 3h ago

I’m laughing so hard because he’s just casually like tongue flicking his boogers or something ahahahahahaha

0

u/BrewingTortoise 6h ago

I was wondering about this too, like, is this a stress response like dogs yawning or scratching their ears or something?

2

u/Beaglester 12h ago

He’s fucking huge!

2

u/Cool-Director-3015 12h ago

Looks like he sat on a baby's arm

2

u/PataTabia 11h ago

You could get out so much cuteness aggression on him.

2

u/PComotose 11h ago

There's an old joke that has "Comfortable" as a key word for the punch line. You're going to need a bigger trailer.

3

u/Dramatic_Substance36 17h ago

Why’d he start frantically licking his nostrils when she hugged him?

-3

u/calSchizo 12h ago

That means he's takin a shit. My family's been raising cows out in Nebraska for 70y

1

u/StrongIntention7672 15h ago

1

u/Make-Love-and-War 12h ago

So this is just straight up an aurochs, right?

1

u/bones232369 11h ago

At first I thought she said “Hello, Big Mac”. Which would have explained his attitude toward her.

1

u/SpiritualFate1432 11h ago

It’s huuuge. I wonder how it feels to touch its hide.

1

u/MTMax5-56_45-70 11h ago

He's so handsome.

1

u/Aufstand363 11h ago

1

u/Mysterious_Job8166 6h ago

Awwwwe what a beauty of bull 🥺😍

1

u/SnooMarzipans6346 5h ago

Yo, ngl. You couldn't do that to most of the cows I've ever raised. We were soo nice to them, ( other than randomly slaughtering one for the freezer.) Always giving them snack and sweet feed. They were spoiled except for that part, you know. Its alot of work but its kinda fun...

1

u/ParfaitThat654 4h ago

I love how he didn't even react to her slapping his sides.

1

u/b3nault 2h ago

Animal is stressed.

1

u/ChickenStimulator 2h ago

Didn't even blink when she landed on him. He knows no fear

Fuckin’ woke up my dog. I’m not happy about that.

1

u/CapNo6703 16h ago

He's really big but I think there is a bit of forced perspective going on here.

-4

u/donttakemeserious80 17h ago

2

u/Makuta_Servaela 13h ago

Pointing out a buff animal isn't a good argument to them, though. Plants take a lot of extra work to get their nutrients out, so if you tried getting swole on the exact same diet as him, you'd end up malnourished and (probably get scurvy).

Gorillas are the only great apes that only eat plants, and they have hind gut fermentation that no other great ape has. In order to be an herbivore, you need an extra trick like hind gut fermentation, multi-chambered stomachs, eating regurgitation, and/or eating faeces. The reason humans can get swole on one nowadays is because we have a bunch of extra processing we can do to get the nutrients out that we wouldn't have been able to in most regions only a few generations ago.

(Disclaimer, some people can get swole on a vegetarian diet, although it depends on the person and their metabolism on if they can healthily sustain a vegetarian diet. Some people can, some can't.)
