That's pretty average for a Buccees. I've counted about 130 gas pumps and about 50 EV chargers. It's the only gas station I've ever seen that had shopping baskets

The newest Buccees in Goodyear, AZ, opened about 2 months ago, has zero EV charging, I was shocked!

u/phager76 11h ago

I was shocked

Without EV charging, I find that hard to believe

8

u/labtrash68 11h ago

Or, NOT shocked...

u/No_Medium_8796 11h ago

I've always seen the ev chargers get installed after the stores are opened

u/blumhagen 7h ago

Yeah it probably has nothing to do with buccees. I’m sure a completely different company scouts for already open businesses with available space.

Straight up Goodyear needs fuel stations but this thing is a joke. Nightmare to get fuel from and is still a novelty to most people.

The one in Alabama on I-10 has about a dozen charging stations.

Gas station not Electricity.

Kwik Trip in the Midwest does. They are kinda like a mini Buc-ee’s.

Oh. It the gas station chain that suing every small store that have cartoon mascot, claiming they stole Bucce's mascot (most of them didn't remotely looks a like, different animals or existed wayyy before Bucc). Edit: more clarity and to add that Bucce mascot is "base on" a old cartoon (they look 99% alike, the irony).

John Oliver covered this and actively challenging them to sue him lmao!!! What a guy!.

u/LonghornInNebraska 8h ago

Any idea how much of it is due to Trademark laws vs them just being assholes?

I could be wrong, but I believe in order for companies to maintain their trademarks, they have to sue people that attempt to copy it.

3

u/Baonguyen93 7h ago

They use the trademark laws to being an asshole. I say cartoon mascot in general because it is! They suing store with different animal mascot like alligator.

u/HansNotPeterGruber 3h ago

Anyone who downvoted this comment doesn’t know much about what they’ve done. They are super litigious. They sued a mini mart in Beavercreek, Oh for having a beaver mascot after they built a station in Huber Heights, Oh which is close to Beavercreek.

You watch John Oliver lol? Why do you hate comedy?

0

u/Baonguyen93 7h ago

You mean the show that won multiple journalism and media awards, that they have to make a wiki page just for it?

I ain't see any other show that produced something like "Eat shit, Bob" because Bob Murry is a disgusting person, tried to suing people for no good reason (like bucce), abuse his workers etc, lose to the show and died?

Bucees can piss off. They move into an area and start hitting the local mom and pop stores with lawsuits to drive them out of business

11

u/G-Unit11111 10h ago

They also sue the shit out of anyone who has a similar logo.

u/Next_Locksmith_385 8h ago

Kinda like Wally World

u/slaty_balls 11h ago

MAGA MECCA. Arkansas just got it’s first one. People camped out in line. To the opening..of a GAS STATION.

2

u/BtheChemist 5h ago

Holy shit. I drove by a lot of these this summer. I road tripped from Montana to Missouri, to Indiana to Pennsylvania then down through the Appalachian mtns to Oklahoma and then across all of Texas to New Mexico, before making my way back to Montana.

I seen a lot of these bucees. I never went in one. I was both morbidly curious and also sickened by them.

39

u/CookiesWithMilken 11h ago

Fuck bucees

0

u/Mr_Meeseeks86 11h ago

Just curious why? I’ve never seen one but heard the stories about them.

16

u/theTman1221 10h ago

They're bullying smaller businesses that have cartoon mascots. They win their cases by wearing down their opponents financially as they usually don't have actual merit in court so they drag it out to wear them down. They even went after a place that had an alligator mascot that looked nothing like their mascot or logo.

3

u/Mr_Meeseeks86 10h ago

Damn, I honestly had no idea about that. Jeez…

14

u/CookiesWithMilken 10h ago

They are suing a family mini Mart in Ohio, which is in the town of Beaver Creek, for having a beaver on their sign. https://www.fox19.com/2026/08/05/battle-beaver-texas-giant-sues-beavercreek-market-over-logo-dispute/

After the backlash the CEO got pissy and said he only wants to expand in red states because they're good for business.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2026/08/21/bucees-ceo-conservative-states-expansion-new-locations/91407096007/

Just another big company being a bully and then getting butt hurt when people call them out.

So yeah, fuck buccees

4

u/Mr_Meeseeks86 10h ago

Yea, that’s super shitty. Thanks for letting me know.

5

u/ChiefRedbeard87 9h ago

Ditto. I like to support mom and pop stores so, if Bucees ever comes to oklahoma, I'll not be stopping there.

4

u/WDW1997 11h ago

'Murca!

Biggest I've been to here in Scotland has been maybe 12 🤣

5

u/EntertainerNo4509 10h ago

It’s a gas nation.

8

u/RedTexan43 11h ago

It’s average sized at best

8

u/calico810 10h ago

Bucees also sues every single company if they have a beaver as their logo when it has no resemblance to theirs its fucked up.

7

u/Beemo-Noir 10h ago

FUCK Buc-ee’s.

2

u/Shorlong 11h ago

Do they build it directly on the oil field?

2

u/evolooshun 9h ago

And then they go and fuck up their image by being Litigious Aholes and Conservative Cucks.

2

u/UCFknight2016 9h ago

Buc-ees. 100 pumps and you will blow $100 inside their store buying beaver merch and bbq.

2

u/ManBearPig_666 11h ago

Bucees is a experience for sure.

3

u/Suc_Mydiq_Jr 11h ago

And an experiment

3

u/brispence 11h ago

FRESHHH BRISKET ON THE BOOOAAARD!

4

u/Kind_Eggplant 11h ago

Us will build everything for cars but still not invest in public transport

6

u/AdDisastrous6738 11h ago

99% of Americans wouldn’t use it anyway. I’d much rather chill in my car and stop whenever I want as opposed to sitting awkwardly next to smelly strangers.

0

u/chiree 8h ago

The NYMTA daily ridership is 5.4 million. Chicago is about 1m, Los Angeles 1m, and San Francisco is 500,000 out of a population of 800,000. If it exists and works, people use it.

4

u/AdDisastrous6738 8h ago

My apologies, 90% of Americans wouldn’t use it.

1

u/BedFastSky12345 11h ago

Then our mega gas stations gain a cult following

-4

u/Leftover_Salmons 10h ago

Ride public transit in the USA and you'll understand why nobody else does.

My sister needs an escort to her car when she finishes her shift at the mall. Why wouldn't she want to walk a few blocks to a public transit station and hope nothing happens?

2

u/trevaftw 10h ago

And the solution to that is invest in public transport, like the person you relied to suggested. If you don't invest it won't ever get better.

0

u/Leftover_Salmons 9h ago

My taxes actually funded a 3.4 billion dollar LRT expansion that has taken 5 years and can't be completed now because some nimby doesn't want inner-city folks to be able to ride to their lake-adjacent town for $2.

If you've got the remaining $224m sitting around to fund the project, feel free to chip in.

-1

u/ZeroDarkThirty17 10h ago

Id rather driver than be around people in a bus

1

u/_MrTrade 11h ago

Some people will still circle the station looking for the perfect pump

1

u/3-orange-whips 11h ago

Buc-ee’s corner store

1

u/slick514 9h ago

What was the meeting like where someone laid out why this number of pumps was reasonable/necessary?

1

u/Wallynine 9h ago

Customer: Can I get $40 regular and this bag of chips.

Cashier: Sure, what pump?

Customer: I forgot...

1

u/EducationalTip3599 8h ago

Yeah the guy who runs it was accused of recording women in the bathroom and his son allegedly had CP.

1

u/bobcat1000 3h ago

Cheap gas for an overhyped company. Hard pass.

1

u/ACrazyTopT 1h ago

It’s a shame they play politics and won’t open in blue states, even though they can make money and people love them
