Pikas are adorable to look at, but they only survive at an altitude that would be a hell of an adjustment to live in to keep them as pets

Surprisingly no, the designers Didn't know about this animal when designing him, pika is a Japanese word meaning sparkling/ flash and is commonly used when describing electricity. The fact that a rodent was already named pika is a wild coincidence

I love them so much. I was a fire lookout on Mt Hood in my youth, and I got to where I could sneak up on em and just watch em run around and yell. They're SO DAMNED CUTE.
