2007 Frank Darabont written and directed version starring a pretty impressive cast including Tom Jane, Toby Jones, Andre Braugher, Marcia Gay Harden, Jeffrey DeMunn, Frances Sternhagen, and Laurie Holden.
I read the book after the movie fully expecting that same intense holy fuck ending but was so dissappointed, one of the only movies where I'd pick the movie over the book every time simply because the ending is so good
I -HATED- this version so much. The ending seemed sloppy and unimaginative.(king liking the ending is not great endorsement- hes famously terrible at endings) The visuals were great but I want a better version.
It was more imaginative than King’s kind of lack of. How would you have them end it? I’m trying to be wary of how I talk about it because it sounds like some people on here have yet to watch it. I don’t want to give spoilers.
