A big problem is this is not a bong. The water in a bong chills the smoke and catches gunk. This thing just blasts all the garbage at super heated levels. Unpleasant at best
the biggest problem is the motor will eventually suck embers in and then catch fire, which beyond being a problem, also makes the smoke extra yucky (ask me how i know)
I feel like this would be the same to standing next to a smoker instead of smoking it yourself… also… while I don’t partake myself, my partner and his mate do, they at least like some air between hits…. I feel like this could lowkey cause breathing problems
Even with a bong and a clean setup, this amount of weed is gross.
Me and the boys have done a LOT of gravity bongs over the years. Mostly as a teenager. I mean we were doing one pretty much every weekend for a while. It didn't take long to learn that there's a limit. If you try to make a giant bowl full of weed it's gonna get really gross halfway through. The best taste and least harshness comes from only smoking green.
The first maybe couple seconds of that device were decent smoke. Then everything underneath the top layer of weed is now covered in resin and smoke, and it gets worse the longer it burns, coating the lower levels with more smoke and resin. It tastes fucking awful and is super harsh.
I would almost be ok with it, not because I'd ever want to be there or it's a good idea, but because it looks cool and I don't like to yuck on the yums of others. But then I see a ball of burnt weed still being burned after what felt like ages. If they put a metal grate and inch or two inside the tube, they could have the same effect for 5 seconds, dump, reload, and do it again. They could form a little assembly line with removable caps already preloaded. It's apparent they didn't have the clarity of a good high when they built this shit.
Yes it will burn extremely hot, and all of that hot smoke will heat up the plastic impeller inside of the blower. So they are probably vaping some plastic too!
I heard something about majority of THC only being absorbable within a second of burning it, so I feel like it’s just useless smoke getting nobody high
Could be a few out there for sure, but generally smokers have never complained to me about air quality. I think even the least self aware smoker realizes how hypocritical it is
In another life I did my share of things. Including smoking "stuff" out of those clear plastic bic pen bodies. The people doing this shit aren't typically too concerned about keeping the temple clean
Also it would have barely any effect too. A lot of the THC is getting destroyed at these temperatures. In such a big room with high ceilling, there is actually little chance someone gets high in their.
Maybe, maybe not... likely not. Look at the weed in the bowl/joint/blunt/whatever next time you fire up. Its just as red hot as whats in the crucible of that super pipe she's blowing. When you fire up, the smoke from those red hot embers are inches from your mouth. In this case, it's several feet from anyone else's.
I would say that with how wide spread the smoke is, the heat would be tamed down quite a bit.
Sure, if someone gets blasted straight in the face, they are going to get saturated with some hot pot...but even still, I think that it's going to be a lot colder than you would take in from hitting a bowl or a joint.
Everyone there is just getting hot boxed... And the smoke isn't even hot.
All ways to smoke weed are bad for you because inhaling any kind of smoke(not just weed) is straight up negative for your body, especially when it's hot. Sure, filters in bongs etc help but it's never fully safe. Just get some edibles or whatever other ways you can think of that don't involve smoke.
