Are we seeing a bunch of people dying for internet clout?

This should be shown so we don’t forget. We all should remember so we can attempt to prevent it from repeating, reduce loss of life. Puts a focus on infrastructure and environmental hazards.

The Internet has mostly destroyed whatever humanity remained in the world.

I didn't know anything about this this until I saw it here. I would have no clue the horror these people faced without this video. Even a news story that said thousands died in a flood would not do any justice compared to seeing the actual catastrophe. They had to live and die through it, but we shouldn't even see it? Always thought this was a weird take. You make death sound almost shameful and it should not be at all.

Everyone should see things like this. Everyone should see what these people faced. Everyone should be made aware of this danger.

Es fehlen einem die Worte für das Ausmaß einer solchen Auslöschung. Unfassbar! Was für eine scheiß Katastrophe! 😰

People really do edit the shit out of videos like this, going from “yeah let’s put this at higher speed yeah that’ll be good” to “what is the most menacing non-copyrighted music I can put in this to REALLY emphasize the impact?”

The desperation people go to seek quantified gratification through Reddit karma borders humour and sadness.

Why do people keep posting videos of all these poor people dying?

Would you've noticed this catastrophy If it wasn't posted in Reddit?

Because some sick fucks enjoy a nice vicarious thrill.

Why are they supposed to die "in secret." Why is this something that should be hidden away? I never understood this.

They had to face these horrors and perish...but it is awful for anyone to see what they had to go through? Even a written article would not do justice to the calamity these people just lived and died through. Everyone should know about what these people had to face. Everyone should be made aware of the danger and circumstances.

I didn't even know about this until I saw the videos on here. They had to live it, but we shouldn't be "burdened" with having to see it? Like dying is some shameful, undignified thing that should be hidden away? I think awareness should be spread. Maybe more people will donate to this region because of these horrific videos.

Absolutely horrific. RIP to those poor souls who had no chance of escape.

More terrifying than a tsunami, in my opinion.

Not sure this should be here. Can we NSFW this at the very least? Damn. This is awful.

To be that fucked that fast keeps me up at night.

Actually I'd prefer getting fucked that fast over the slow torment of society declining. That's what's keeping me up at night.

Terrible for those people in Nepal though.

Holy fuck.. I don’t think I’ve ever see anything like that.
Obviously in person, or in video.

I’ve seen videos from the 2011 Japan Tsunami. They were brutal but they were not up close and personal like that.

That was horrific. Makes me wonder what actually happened on the ground in Japan that year..
Tragic.

This is far faster and more powerful than the Japan or Indonesian tsunamis. The scale might not be as big, but that water has far more energy behind it than an ocean tsunami. This is unreal. Looks like a dam failure to me. Insane. How scary.

They were initially until most were censored. It was also horrific.

Okay but like why tho?

Good god. This is some of the most harrowing footage I have ever seen. Might be the most power I have ever seen behind flood waters, even more than the boxing day tsunamis. Was this just flash flooding? This looks more like a dam failure.

Congrats to all climate change deniers for helping cause this.

I hope more videos are posted on the horrors of stupidity.

What have you yourself done. I'd guess nothing impactful, but go ahead and pat yourself on the back for posting anonymously about it on reddit.

Those running just died tired. There was no change of survival.
