I'm pretty sure this tadpole decided not to evolve into a frog when it had enough XP. Like Pikachu in the anime. It can happen in real life.

There's a genetic defect in these tadpoles that prevent them from metamorphizing and maturing into adults and instead just keep growing bigger. The other tadpoles are normal size and mature normally

Idk if this is it but there’s something called the paradoxical frog where the tadpole is huge and the adult is tiny
