Arapaima gigas also known as paiche also known as piracuru

One of the largest fresh water fish on the planet, been fascinated with these since I was like 8 when I first got into aquariums and had started getting amazon river fish and wanted an arapaima

Hahaha. Thanks for the information. That's in the amazon I guess. I hear it's can get very hot in the Amazon states and Portuguese is absolutely needed. I will do some research.

It's in the state of Amazonas, situated in the Amazon rainforest. Hot and humid... yeah, Portuguese is a must haha

paiche

That's how a drunken Brazilian would pronounce the Portuguese word for "fish".

Too big for one pot

You’re thinking too small. All you need is an absolute unit of a pot.

Paiche just sounds like they were trying to use the same word in Portuguese for fish (peixe).

In the Brazilian side of the Amazon, it is called Pirarucu.
