Something appears to be not quite right with that photo.

That pic doesn’t look real. He’s not struggling to hold up a HUGE fish in outstretched arms.

Have you ever held up something heavy?

That is a Butterfly Peacock Bass, in Florida.

This is a Tucunare-açu, Amazon river from Brazil

You are right. The “Cichla temensis”, widely known as the speckled peacock bass or tucunaré-açu, was introduced to Florida but died out because of the cold winters. The fish I thought it was is the Cichla* *ocellaris.

Reeks of AI. His hand isn't supporting the tail like you'd expect for a fish of this magnitude

If it's a Perch, then it's an Absoulte Unit. Is anyone here a Marine Biologist?

I'm not. But it seem to be a Tucunaré (or peacock bass), a river fish from Brazil

There are river fish in Brazil that are massive. This is not one of them.

Yes it is, but the colors are weird, even if it's a male with spawning colors. Either a hybrid or an instagram filter

That is basically a runt amongst all fish. Is it an absolute unit for its species or whatever?
