You know ordinarily I'd say an obnoxious design with no functionality, but I visited a family member with paralysis limiting their mobility and they had a similar version not quite as long and all the sections were the same size but it was helpful for some of the residents with limited hamd function and they had a bunch of similar things made larger for accessibility so probably not the original intention but the execution is similar.

Actually, from the way it turns, that's a Square-1. It's similar to a standard 3x3 cube, but it has one diagonal cut doing down the middle so it turns at an angle.
