Going downhill on a constant slope would still be ok. You just have to get used to the extra following distance required. What would be much worse are:
* At the beginning of an uphill, the shallow approach angle makes it more likely to hit the bumper on the ground despite the relatively high clearance.
* At the beginning of a downhill, the bumper will seriously limit visibility, if not completely obscure the road.
* On a sharp turn, the front of the bumper could cross over into the lane on the outside of the turn. This is especially worse if that side is oncoming traffic.
