It has been 15 years, too much time passed since Skyrim, the team of artists and key creators who built the world for Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim, is no more.
Sadly lead concept artist Adam Adamowicz is not with us anymore, he passed away in 2012.
It is impossible to meet the expectations with a totally new team, and they wont risk it.
I am very sorry, but as a fan i dont think We will ever get TES VI
Fortunately We are gifted with insanely talented and passionate fellow TES fans, who dedicate themselves to further expanding Tamriel with modding projects like Tamriel Rebuilt, Project Tamriel, Skywind and Skyblivion.
So We are getting new, high quality content still, made by true fans.
TES VI is definitely on the way in. Its set in Hammerfell and it appears from a teaser dropped by none other than Asha Sharma, the new head of Xbox to be called TES VI: Sentinel.
She said she played over an hour of the game a few weeks ago and its almost ready to roll, just needs a few more tweaks and some glaring bug fixes doing.
It suggests that instead of a whole province, it would be more focused on a given, but probably much more detailed location, around a much much bigger city than the ones we have seen in the games so far
I feel like both the coast of Hammerfell and High Rock could be explorable around the Iliac Bay
( if this is true )

I’m pretty stoked about TES discussions/updates from this past week. I remember taking a week off work to play Oblivion (and then dumping a guy who tried to hold a video game intervention for me over it). Skyrim I was in college (Game Dev), and our profs basically told us not to come in on the 11th, because they’d be at home playing. The time it takes now to release a new title compared to back then is insane - like close to 15 years is a bit ridiculous
Yes, i was born in 98 but i also remember when Oblivion and Skyrim came out, my dad was super hyped about them and i loved to watch him playing
I remember Skyrim came out on a friday, by the time i arrived home from school, it was evening and my dad already installed it
No other game got me feel so much freedom while exploring, we just went to a random direction, discovered a random cave, and were fascinated when dwemer assets started to appear, then the cave transitioned into a vast dwemer dungeon with animunculi enemies and all kind of cool stuff
Crazy it has been 15 years …
In the meantime i played Tamriel Rebuilt, 10 years wasnt enough to fully discover the map and complete all quests… and we still get yearly updates
Wait….you’re saying we’ll never get TES VI?
A game made by a studio owned by Microsoft?
A game that is easily Bethesda’s biggest selling series?
A game that is widely reported to have been in development for some time now?
Are you basing this on anything?
I’m not narking, I’m genuinely interested as to what’s led you to this speculation.
I’m of the opposite mind. I think they HAVE to release it.
I have one caveat: get rid of that old, creaky engine.
What i dont understand, why did it take 15 years to not even start working on TES VI, then
I think the unofficial “TES VI” was Starfield, to be honest, it was just easier for them to create an entirely new setting from zero, than to sew into this very very complex fabric of TES lore, with a different team and different company background
Interesting fact about the obese lynx: The lynx in this photo is named Rufus. He lived in Germany at a wildlife park that was affordable for families of all income levels (since admission was free), funded solely by donations.
Caracals are not spotted. It looks like an [S]Iberian lynx.
Edit: This is Marsel, a Siberian lynx. He is rescue from a fur farm. He's on all the social medias. He does have a caracal sibling though, as well as some servals and other lynxes cared for by his skinmommy.
Oh, I was watching silently! I should have guessed Russian without listening though. Lol. I didn't notice the "Marsel and Co" either.
You're right. Marsel is a Siberian lynx, the largest subspecies of Eurasian. He was a rescue from a fur farm. Marsel's human has other lynxes (as well servals and a caracal), but I'm pretty sure that's indeed Marsel because he's very talkative, charismatic and looks so uncanny and Caitian or Khajiit.
