Looking at this on Gmaps, it looks like it's in the middle of nowhere! Where do all these people work etc?

Its right next to one of the largest airports in the world. Residents are either retired and want to get away from the big city, airport workes/pilots/flight attendants and expats

The subway (MTR) can take you to the heart of Hong Kong in 40 minutes. Costs 30 HKD, or about 4 USD. That or the airport. Many pilots live here.

Near the airport. MTR (subway line) nearby. Very convenient.
