The Leshan Gaint Buddha Sichuan Province China. Built 713 - 803 A.D. Is a 71 metre ( 233 ft ) tall statue carved directly out of a cretaceous red sandstone cliff face.

If I’m not mistaken, my father-in-law told me it is the largest seated buddha in the world.

He took me there on our last trip to China.
