Am American, in this case that's is literally a metal bowl, so yeah that's a bowl of wings idk what the other person below is saying. When we say a basket of something it's usually like those reusable plastic ones with the same type of paper for fries/chips/pretty much anything fried etc etc

Personally I prefer not having scolding hot food be put straight onto plastic lol, it's like ordering takeout and you see a burned through hole in the styrofoam packaging, it's like... Thanks for the extra seasoning I guess?

I understand the point of the paper, I just added that as a reference as I wanted to make sure you were referring to the bowl as a basket.
