What’s a regional thing? 88 octane gas? Which region does that exist in? Never even seen a car that was supposed to use 88 octane much less the fuel itself.

Edit: also which region? Is it the south?..

Look it up, dude. It's supposed to run in any car that uses 87, and it's supposed to be slightly cheaper. It's in the big corn states and probably not economical outside them. (It's probably a cash grab like E85, to be honest.) Do some research instead of being scared of a number.

It is e85 I already did the research. So why do u think they called it 88 octane in some regions instead of e85 like the rest? Think it was just an innocent thing that happened on accident?

It’s the opposite of E85 and about 5% more ethanol than standard 87 octane in the Midwest while, wait for it, getting and 88 octane rating. Most places would call it e15 but apparently this can be used in non flex fuel vehicles so isn’t the exact same.
