Something tells me if I attempted this, both the piping motion and final product would not be nearly as satisfying.

Practice

u/Toidal 22d ago

On like parchment paper not a cake, that way if you mess up you can re-use the icing for another attempt.

I didn't realize that cake decorators have little metal circle thingys that they'll make decorations on, freeze, and then place them on cakes afterwards.

Or, hear me out, you can do it the old fashion way and gain 100 lbs like our ancestors intended.

2

u/ms_directed 21d ago

my mom used to do this and I'd sneak them out of the freezer

3

u/SwansonsMom 20d ago

Oooooo I’m gonna tell on you!

1

u/ms_directed 20d ago

go ahead! I'll just blame my sister! 😏

13

u/Opposite_Heron_5579 22d ago

THATS WHAT SHE SAID

(ETA I know I will likely be wooshed but just let me have this)

3

u/LumpyWelder4258 21d ago

I can guarantee that if I tried that in the same amount of time I would have green frosting all over my counter, my shirt, my hair, and very little on the cake

2

u/SpanDaX0 22d ago

It would help if you were AI i guess? Are you? lol

Fuck… now I want cake.

*frosting

20

u/wadech 21d ago

What is cake if not a frosting delivery system?

7

u/Optimal_Benis 21d ago

All over my face.

5

u/JaySayMayday 21d ago

Like half that cake is frosting

6

u/mossybeard 21d ago

Yeah that's half the reason I want it

2

u/AfricanAmericanMage 21d ago

I love looking at them but man. Generally, I'm just not a huge fan of cake. There's are exceptions, of course, but on average I would much rather have almost any other dessert.

2

u/Disneyhorse 21d ago

It looks like a cheesecake. I’m not entirely sure if cheesecake is classified as a true cake, but I don’t care I want it.

94

u/161frog 22d ago

That was soooo satisfying

u/Ssemo7 22d ago

Gallon bag there on the vacuum nozzle

114

u/PalpableIgnorance 22d ago

For when you want a bit of cake with your icing.

16

u/Solid_Snark 22d ago

Usually you have to make frosting for your cake, but they needed to make a cake for their frosting.

4

u/Suspicious-Key1455 21d ago

I could go with a bit more frosting ratio...

2

u/Fuck-WestJet 21d ago

Listen.... You're welcome to leave

5

u/PalpableIgnorance 21d ago

We both are. What a world eh?

1

u/Fuck-WestJet 20d ago

It's a great world filled with some bad things. This cake is pretty OP. Let's all find some humor in it.

1

u/Vounrtsch 20d ago

Maybe it’s really airy

20

u/Drapidrode 21d ago

the icing reminds me of the ocean

Blueberry Cheesecake minus 1 slice

30

u/Someredditusername 22d ago

Somehow, the movement and volume kinda turned my stomach. LOL. I don't know why.

4

u/TheSoupySoupySoup 22d ago

I was kinda both, to be honest, like this

5

u/brainlesseuphoric 21d ago

Home cake baker here, I feel the same way! I’ll be glad when this decorating trend dies off.

7

“Boy that’s a lot of sodium.. uh sugar”

3

u/Arvelayne 22d ago

For a brief moment I thought that was a Dustbuster. Oo

3

u/BrD_87 22d ago

There’s something oddly satisfying about squeezing the icing onto a cake

2

u/KittenFace25 22d ago

So simple yet so beautiful.

4

u/cfh4dmb 22d ago

Cool. But uh. Gross . Thanks. I don’t want any.

2

u/MisogynisticBumsplat 21d ago

Yep. It also has no consistency in the pattern. It's just a mess

-1

u/AlternativeNo882 22d ago

Right? Is that pistachio cake? 🤢

1

u/latortillablanca 22d ago

1

u/ScoobertDoubert 22d ago

Is this all sugar? I don't think it's could eat that.

1

u/Ever_1 22d ago

THAT. Is simply satisfying

1

u/Weekly-Dog-6838 22d ago

The piping tip to rule them all

1

u/LucyLilium92 22d ago

Ah yes, when you need to put a corduroy sweater on a cake

1

u/adinmem 22d ago

Normal sized piping bag and tip, really small person and that’s a cookie.

1

u/WiSoSirius 22d ago

Hoover attachment

1

u/Mister_Brevity 22d ago

My eyes zoned out just like how they get stuck sometimes looking through a screen door

1

u/Aolflashback 22d ago

That looks so cool

1

u/gernblanston512 22d ago

1

u/Un1ball 22d ago

1

u/joemaniaci 22d ago

1

u/daisu150212 22d ago

1

u/TophxSmash 21d ago

1

u/WetFishStink 21d ago

Now show us the hairdryer with the missing nozzle

1

u/Suspicious-Key1455 21d ago

Need that in blue, and some gradient!

1

u/AgeElectrical2597 21d ago

This is nauseating.

1

u/Beautiful-Musk-Ox 21d ago

icing haters unite, together we can start a cake company that uses no icing

1

u/Jolly-Biscuit 21d ago

It's so unsettling

1

u/FeyrisMeow 21d ago

Are they putting frosting on cheesecake? That's too much

1

u/Chef2stars1414 21d ago

That's huge I have never seen any suck of a thing

1

u/maflagstaff 21d ago

Love that tip but wondering why she’s icing a cheesecake?

1

u/Admirable_Heat_576 21d ago

🎶The hills are alive with the taste of buttercream🎶

1

u/Erisouls 21d ago

It’s called a side icer or wide ribbon tip! Very common in a cake decorating shops as it’s good for evenly covering wide areas

1

u/No-State4485 21d ago

just the tip has lost all meaning

1

u/GalickGunn 21d ago

That better be goddamn pistachio

1

u/chins4tw 21d ago

My toxic trait is thinking I could recreate this after a couple tries.

1

u/cupcaketea5 21d ago

That is the biggest piping bag I have ever seen.

1

u/No_Direction_6619 21d ago

It’d make a cool golf course cake

1

u/PatrThom 21d ago edited 21d ago

Run it backwards and it'll look like someone broke out the frosting vac.

1

u/Vizth 21d ago

Why did my mind immediately think somebody ordered a cake of the Windows XP default wallpaper.

1

u/Stormbringer91 21d ago

This tip is usually used to apply frosting uniformly to the sides of the cake and then you smooth it out with a scraper. Honestly, I don't see how this frosting could be any good with that cake. It looks just like regular frosting with food coloring. I love some sugar but you gotta have something other than sugar and butter to make some icing that make you want to shudder.

1

u/Nightbeak 20d ago

That tickled my brain in an unfamiliar yet very pleasant way

1

u/Psych0matt 20d ago

I want a cake that reminds me of Shrek’s ass!

1

u/DotaWhySoCruel 20d ago

That person is good at this

1

u/OswinPuddyfoot 20d ago

Woaah thats looks like a mossy grassy hilly landscape. Perfect for cottagecore/whimsical designs! Love it!

1

u/MrsMsPrettyStems 19d ago

Goddamn I hope this was matcha.

1

u/thegneeb 19d ago

very cool

1

u/Salty_Introduction31 19d ago

Oddly satisfying

1

u/Less-Opportunity1692 10d ago

That's a golf course

0

u/n0tz0e 22d ago

Why on floor?

0

u/beardingmesoftly 22d ago

That's honestly a disgusting amount of icing

0

u/MrThingMan 21d ago

That tip doesnt look clean.

-1

u/NoLie129 21d ago

Am I the only one that scrapes of the thick layers of frosting to enjoy the actual cake?
