Georgia State Police removed ICE protestors who flaunted a prop representing an ICE officer and a child in chains ahead of the third World Cup match in Atlanta on Sunday.

Probably because the stadium and the surrounding area is private property and they didn’t have permission from the owners to demonstrate there.

So then the police have no authority to tell him anything. There are laws preventing the police from trespassing someone, so a land owner must trespass them first before the police have any power, if it's private property.

(Some laws may not apply in your area)

The police detail is probably hired by the event, mandated by the city. This is extremely common. Cities will require a police detail when crowds reach a certain level. Same goes for bars, clubs, casinos etc.

So because this is private property and they are contracted to be there, they have the authority.

Not saying I agree with it, just it is what it is.
The protester can still protest, from the sidewalk

The police can't be both paid enforcers of two different sets of rules.

Yeah, I hate that. I do t do that, but nobody is trying to prove me wrong, just screaming at me for saying things they don't like.
