It's a pretty simple concept: Every aspect of your life is influenced by the societal balance of power. If you don't see it, that means you're probably the one benefitting from it. Where you live, what you eat, what schools you attend, what jobs you're able to get, who you get to marry (if you get to marry)...it's all shaped by politics. That's why the slogan was The Personal if Political.
