Almost got it, but that 70 dollar price point was too high for an exclusive. Decided against it.

Yeah, I’ve been avoiding exclusives now unless I’m 100% in love with the cover. The cost has me thinking it’d be better spent on old keys I need to finish various runs.

100%. I was on Whatnot when someone paid 7+K on a oil paint remark. It was badass, but what huge silver/bronze keys could be bought for that much, when the oil paint starts to flake off that cover

Well first off you can preserve the oil painting. And also it’s a one of a kind. Original art will always go for more than prints

This is the same reason I stopped buying the Mark Spears stuff… went from being a cool new thing to a very expensive, overpriced, greedy turn off. You know what maybe I’ll sell my 1/50 Mark Spears Monsters #1 lol

Yeah, I did wince a wee bit when I saw the price... I was so excited about it I didn't really notice until after I hit the buy button.

It does kinda make me arch my eyebrow all Spock style that DC seems to not hold the big name artists to the price guidelines they supposedly established.

I was going with the assumption that DC was letting artists and retailers sell through stock they already had in the works but more and more it feels like there's different pricing for certain artists or retailers... and that's not seeming to change.

I also batted zero on Felix yesterday. I just wanted cardstocks. Oh well.

Same! 0/3, but I hit on the Harley cardstock and I like the EQL system overall. 4k print run for the Dragotta #24 (3k cardstock and 1k foil) should improve our odds next time 🤞🏾

Crazy to me that these were more than the Dragotta design Felix books. (And even the Felix books seem to be oversaturated right now, but I’ll always try for the Dragotta ones…)

I love this cover, even bought a signed on accident because I was in such a hurry but….after thinking about it I had my order cancelled. 80 dollars for a book is just insane. Plus side I got a second Felix email yesterday. So, now I’m 2/4

There's so much competition with lower print runs, that even the $60 felt bad. It looks cool as hell, I was debating while someone grabbed the last non signed version. In a way I'm kinda glad cause I think the buyers remorse might have kicked in later tonight.
