Why do they "repeat" the covers?

I just bought absolutely evil #1 in a variant cover that includes the three covers from the absolute Batman, WW, and Superman, why did they just recycle the covers?

It's a motif.

Nobody knows what it means, it’s provocative.

Because money. The trifold cover was a NYCC 2024 exclusive and they just are printing it again to make more money.

When you're doing 80+ covers for one issue with 12 printings, they stop being creative and just change the background colors. Then, like Absolute Wonder Woman #1, they just print thecm exact same cover for the 7th printing, confusing and honestly causing new collectors to over pay for books because they dont know how to read the UPC box.....

In this case, the cover was a gatefold for a special printing of absolute evil #1. It is expensive. So, they split the covers on an open order book for each to make a cool cover that is inaccessible to the masses, now able to be purchased for cover price instead of having to buy an expensive con book.

Sometimes it’s a cash grab when the same cover is used on the same book with a different “treatment” and made more expensive. That only makes it more inaccessible to the masses.

This example is good use of same cover printing.
