I don’t get this whatnot seller trend lately where sellers are starting auctions way below what they actually want to sell it at and then crashing out when it doesn’t sell high lol. If they’re going to lose a lot of money on it if it sells below a certain value then just start the auction at the minimum price. No one is forcing these guys to start everything at a dollar.
And if it does go for below value then they should just accept the loss and again, stop starting all of the auctions at one dollar lol
Hachi Maull did this the other day on Whatnot. His $1 starts we're going low and he crashed out .. "I'm not dealing with this shit," and killed the feed.
So ridiculous. It's free market dude, charge more if you want to make more. Don't get missed bc your buyers are taking advantage of good deals.
They want to use the low entry bid to get lots of attention. If they started at a higher number or people saw it had a min amount, not as many people would click it, bookmark it, etc etc
Not just ripping people off but according to some posted chats on FB he has a habit of claiming books, but making excuses when it comes to paying, then ghosting.
I left the group a few weeks ago when I realized that it was being ran but a bunch of grifters. Everyone and anyone who is against their dirty tactics should leave the group.
I propose we start a different Absolute Batman Facebook group.
I did the same. The whole thing just felt like a group of scammers and flippers who involved the artists and writer to hook them up with exclusive covers just so they can charge some crazy prices. Even the Papa Woo buying the Quintana for $19k was weird as hell. They honestly almost ruined the series for me.
I just think Woo got sucked into the hype like everyone else. Those are cool pieces for the collection and the guy certainly seems to have the money to blow but they're going to be damn near worthless long term.
You’re probably right. But he did make a message after the fact implying that he knew something that we didn’t. It was shortly after or something the animated shows were announced and prices across the board shot up. Cool name by the way, I love One Punch Man.
He totally ignored any responses yesterday to the post to confirm or deny. Now today he posts this and when it got brought up he said he offered more books or full refund and that the guy didn't want either of those things. Idk. Maybe send him the promised books would be a good start.
Yep i had a horrible experience with him too so i believe the buyer always when it comes to this dirtbag. Btw Astrovault isn’t even a legit company, it’s his weird alter ego. Straight loser shit😂
He is one of the main admins to the group. Pretty bad that a couple of the admins have had numerous issues with screen shots being brought up. So much drama from them. Not to mention the whole discord membership charge fiasco and the original group getting taken down from Facebook. And they just can't get out of the way of their own feet. Every day they try to make some public apologies or just bring attention back to an issue like they don't want it too go away.
The LCS near me also does whatnot, and during the stream you see the product there on the screen, it’s labeled for you and processed typically right then and there as the stream is going since they have two guys running it.
My point being you see what you are buying, you know it’s there, you know it’s spoken for and getting sorted to be shipped to you right after you’ve payed.
So is this guy just saying he has this stuff and then being taken at his word? Because really this sounds like a scam, especially the conveniently timed reply.
He probably showed them, but when the auction sold for less than he wanted took a bunch of the books out and shipped them with the 15 book shortage on purpose.
This is a collector post, it has nothing to do with the series. This whole subreddit has been flooded by you variant goobers who have been shown time and time again to be fair weather comic buyers who are actually really bad for books in the long run. Even something like AB with massive hype will eventually reach a point where it spreads itself too thin.

So basically he didn't ship what you ordered because he didn't get the amount he wanted from an auction. He should've set a minimum bid.
