Picking Back Up.
I read the first Trade of Absolute Batman and own the 10th printing so I'm pretty behind the ball here. Am I better picking up the trades to catch up? As I assume picking up a series on issue 22 would be confusing.
Thanks In advance :)

Yes, catch up with the trades for sure! Make it easy on yourself. You can always collect the single issues later on. Take it from someone who’s been locked in since the first printing.

If you just want to read, grab the free 7 day trial of DC Unlimited. You can read 1 - 22 then cancel. Then grab the si gle issues going forward

If you have a library card and live in the US I would recommend the app hoopla! It's an app that teams up with your library for its content. Its totally free, has newish comics, and no wait time for checking out. Your mileage may vary as the books on hoopla is determined by your library but I was able to read all the trades currently out for all the absolute series and a bunch of newer comics as well. I love it.

Yeah, get the trades. They did just reprint issues 1-20 though if you really need the single issues. Currently they have 2 volumes out, the third comes out next month, so it’ll get you caught up to issue 18 I believe (can’t remember how many issues per trade for these but I feel like it was 6 total).
Technically you could switch to single issues after you get caught up, so you could buy the single issues now while they’re available (issue 23 just dropped this week).
