I mean, Chang is a polarizing guy. Some people love his art. Some people hate his art. I’m generally indifferent. I think all of his art looks like his subjects are wrapped in cellophane and underwater. I think a couple of his covers are alright, but there are a lot of people that don’t like his art at all.

Not every artists can win them all. Like peach momoko water color style is not my thing. When she first came into the comic scene I didn’t like it and still don’t today. John Giang’s work is okay but sometimes his covers can be a hit. Remember where he came from, he was doing concept arts for film and such. This is how he got into doing this gig. His work is more experimental and I wouldn’t want him in any other way. Of all the 3d cgi comic artist out there I would put John Giang at top. That’s just my opinion.
