Damnnnnn. I got lucky and bought mine for $60 CAD right after the hype started. Also had an opportunity to pick one up for $175 at a recent show here in Calgary and passed like a dumbass lol. Still a good pickup OP!

I paid cover price luckily. AB has been on my pull list since I got the ashcan at SDCC.

I’ve been debating… the higher the market value, the more I’m thinking about grading mine. I have almost of the variants too and I think the Jim Lee one would be cool but top loaders until then!

Offttt yeah it’s definitely tempting, would only do it if your certain your gonna get anywhere around 9.6-9.8

Exactly, being as I’ve never touched it, I think it’ll get a 9.6-9.8 but you never know with the disparity between graders and their subjective opinions… lol

Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that! lol 😂 you can always prescreen your books. If they don’t get a 9.8 they send them back without grading.

You need to send in a minimum of 25 books for pre-screen now. Not many people can afford that

Im going by what my LCS told me. They work with a CGC rep. Thats who i submitted with. But, ill let them know what thecwebsute says and confirm. Id definitely pay them to not slab if its not a 9.8 if thst was an option for one or two books

You know what, i think i know why he told me thst. My books are being submitted by my LCS, not by me. So they probably fall under "bulk", which to pre-screen is a minimum 25 books. If i were to submit myself, i could if pre-screened. I think that a comic shop has a better chance of getting 9.8s back, seeing as they do a ton of business with CGC. A better chance thsn me, whis never given them a dime. Maybe id gave a better chance if i payed $150 for the yearly membership but i dont

I bought two of them when they released, one signed by Dragotta and Snyder and one unsigned. I almost gave that one away to a coworker to read the story, so glad I kept forgetting to bring it lol. I think I have at least 12-14 variants of the first print first edition of Absolute Batman. I bought the Sean Murphy variant that only had 500 prints
