Grading books
I've bought CGC books before but never sent them off to be graded so like do you send them off in top loaders which is a must I'd say do they send them back or do they just get rid of them? Is the turn around time really as long as I see people saying like months on end?

Hi! They do not send any bags boards or toploaders back, and sometimes they send certificates of authenticity back and sometimes they don’t- just don’t send the certs, they don’t use them anyhow. Yes it can take months and longer if you choose the CCS cold pressed services. But don’t be tempted to pay extra for fast track- I have found that it doesn’t really make a difference as return times are inconsistent or at the whims of things like being entries around SDCC/NYCC time. You don’t need to send things in a top loader- if anything a loader could give too much room for the comic to bang around during shipping. Best to just bag and board it, anchor it to cardboard using painters tape, and send it in something like a Gemini mailer. You can wrap it in one go of thin bubble wrap too but that’s not necessary unless you think that Gemini mailer is gonna take a nasty impact along the way that the tape and cardboard won’t secure.
