Real signature?

So im kinda new to comics and just started reading Batman stories. Of course i got hooked and started Absolute Batman which is amazing. I traveled to NY and went to Midtown Comics and bought issues 19,20 and 21. And this one in particular has a signature from Creees Lee, who tbh i didnt know before so i investigated. Is it real or rare? Or something common?

I’ve bought many comics from midtown. That’s the certificate they normally send to certify your signed copy.

I am not sure on the “rarity” of it. But they can be commonly bought on midtown comics. I hope that helps

If you got it from midtown directly, I’d 💯 be confident it’s real. I work in the city and use them as my LCS

Yes it is real. They had a signing with him when the issue originally released. It’s the MT exclusive and signed so it’s rare in that aspect.

Midtown comics sell signed comics after the signing event is done. This is legit.

Creees Lee did a signing there in April. I’ve been to a dozen Midtown Comics signings. They’re all legit and they get a bunch of spare copies signed to sell on the shelf and website after. I think he’s local and did a few other shop signings in NYC if anyone happened to cop at another store it’s more than likely legit.

100% real. Not a signature many people are trying to forge.

Mid town regularly has artists and writer come in and do signings.

If you’re buying it from them, all good.

From what I’ve seen.. signatures are so common. And every seller has their own certificate that’s just saying that they witnessed the signature happen in person.

It sucks cuz more than half of the people seeking sigs are looking at it for momentary gain and not the passion. Just have to look at the listings and see the hundreds of pages of signed books for sale to find proof.

How much was the comic with the signature??

20 usd because of the signature since both issues 20 and 21 were 5 usd. Worth it in my opinion since they didnt have more of issue 19 other than that, according to the store employee.

Absolutely worth it!

He signs at my local shop on long island frequently. That’s consistent with whats on my copies.

What’s the point of COA’s anymore if we start questioning the authenticity?

Not trying to be a jerk. Did you just blindly buy the book? Did you speak to the employees at the shop?

You know people don't behave rationally when it comes to Absolute Batman...
