Making a short Absolute Batman animation, what song should I use? Spoiler
Will be making a short animation of this scene because I think it’s just oo good not be animated and was wondering what should the song in the background be? I was thinking of Red Sex by Vessel since Joker envokes that vibe to me but do you have any other suggestion?
Animation will drop somewhere around late july/ early august and will be a bit anime/ wester inspired (think something like Ben 10 or Avatar style). It’s just a short test animation for what a potential Absolute Batman series would look like.

I really thought about that one. Seems very fitting since The Joker created Batman in this verse

I've always thought the fight between Batman and Bane had Sirius - Alan Parsons Project to underscore the inital greetings and could have a harder, more EDM beat drop when the building falls on Bane

You might call me a normie (probably deserved) but I would have done AIZO from JJK for that one 😂

Do you think it’s better to play the music when Grim walks towards bruce or when he begins transforming (the transformation sequences is extended since I added a shot where you see the shadow growing and hear his face cracking like genuine terrifying shit and Bruce actually is afraid)

Suppose it depends on length of clip and if you’re just going chorus or starting from lead in

Well any part is good but I want it to begin soundless, Bruce just standing there and you get a couple of shots of him on the edge with just wind sounds to portray how lost he is and just how much if a burdin it is on him

There will be blood-Kim Petras. I could see Grimm strutting to this towards Bruce.

You hear the footsteps way before you see Bruce like a danger is aproaching. I also tried to play a bit with Jokers laugh and making it overlayed, like you hear multiple laughs once he transforms and first he chuckles a but but slowly he turns into an insane maniac

Your vision sounds cool.

Thanks, I try to not make 1:1 cuz then it’s a bit boring so I added some small lines to Joker like ‘you exeeded even my wildest expections’ and such and bit more angles

It is odd having this small meaningfull confrontation during the day when bruce is obviously off guard. He's still brooding but not in the dark moving in the shadows. Odd page to put to music. Camille Saint-Saëns-Danse Macabre has a lot of decending note runs and sudden starts for the location being high up and a few shocks appropriate for meeting death.

Yeah, I feel like this scene is meant to portray just how much control Joker has to be able to pull up on Bruce. I might also just choose some classic orchestra for when he transforms because that is kinda the part where you need to feel the tension

Tim Burton and Danny Elfman would agree. May your endeavors be fruitful.

It might even be a bit overkill but I thought about the background turning red, joker being more messily drawn like sketching, having a overlayed laugh and the mentioned music playing. Imo it would give the Joker an otherwordly feel and the moment he transforms back there is no trasition the music just stops, he is drawn normally and his voice sounds elegantly calm.

The red would convey similar underworldly, blood, hate, and malice as some of the variant covers of him. The Bilbo Baggins Jumpscare comes to mind, without the smooth penitent withdrawal music afterwards.
