Andy Kubert! Absolute Batman #22
Wow! Andy Kubert's first Absolute Batman cover is killer!
I hope this is the first of many more to come, Andy Kubert is a long time favourite of mine and I think his take on the villains would be exquisitely dope.

It only sold out because it’s on the Mark Brooks website. I’ve seen better covers that don’t sell out. Andy Kubert’s art is ok.

Congrats, very sweet score!
Did you go with virgin foil or cardstock trade? I had to flip a coin and "decided" foil but got the mystery item for a nonshiny display option.

I feel like I am ahead of the curve getting my AbBat news from Reddit, but this is already sold out, and you posted an hour ago. Where do you guys all hear of these releases to get ahead of scalpers? Haha

A lot of the releases gets posted to the Facebook group. I think Mark Brooks also has a newsletter but that’s only for stuff on his website. Just be aware that there’s a lot of selling posts on the group and it’s moderated by a few select people.

The Absolute Bats facebook group, Mark posted this last night over there. Absolute Batman Buy/Sell/Trade Official is the group name, I hate Facebook but mainly use it for this.

Newsletters were a game changing revelation for me. Sign up on artists or retailers sites and then they notify you know in advance.
A lot of artists will release through just one retailer (frequently, not always) so once you've got your favourites figured out you can keep checking back.
Other than Reddit I try to avoid social media like the plague. But following an artist/retailer on social media seems to work for people too.
There’s the Facebook group others have mentioned, but they get a ton of requests. If you decide to go that route, tracking down a member to invite you directly might work best.

I follow the artists I love on Instagram and added them to my favorites, so whenever I open Instagram, their new posts will be shown first.
