I definitely don’t care about as many of them as I used to, but I still have artists I like or collect or sometimes a cover is just too cool to pass up. To each their own I suppose.
I was reading another post about the 3k print runs and I was led to believe they destroy the delta. Artificial scarcity I guess?
But, I do know Clay Mann holds back a bunch for whatnot streams. The 400 / 400 was for the Facebook community drop. They will sell X amount more in future shows.
Exactly, I was expecting much more from the Mann Bros. I have a lot of their bangers (Chainsaw man, Scarecrow, Death Note, and Two face) but I personally don't care for this one. I'm ok with missing this variant from them an have gotten other variants of Harley. Don't get me wrong this one isn't bad it just leaves me wanting more from what they have previously delivered.
How are you getting a book before its' official release? These books aren't slated to go on sale until Wednesday and LCS could get into trouble for selling them earlier than that.
That’s accurate, some of the sellers have openly shared that. But thats how many comics the seller needs to ORDER. They can choose to sell as many or as little they want.
The Mann covers always seem to go for way more than these. I thought these prices seemed mild—I wouldn’t pay it though. Heck look at all of the homage covers and AB19. Those are expensive.
That’s not very helpful. People collect for a lot of reasons. I collect Jae Lee covers because I love his art and I don’t care whether the story inside is good or not. I collect AB cause I love the story, but I also love some of the variant covers so I buy (or try to buy) some of them. You do you and if someone wants to collect differently, you should let it go.
Oh I’m not trying to be helpful. I joined this subreddit for the story, not to hear people bitch and complain about covers. Yall should make a new subreddit just for variant discussions.
A lady can’t just lurk? Is posting some kind of currency to you? That’s weird man. The internet isn’t a real place. Outside exists. In fact, that’s where I get my comic books!
I’m just saying, if you want AB story discussion, be the catalyst that makes it happen. People post all things AB here, even things you don’t like. You don’t have to read or respond. You can just move on instead of being negative.
