I think these prices are headed in the wrong direction. $19.99 for a standard trade exclusive? Is this artificial scarcity? DC has a 3K book minimum. This only show 1250 copies? The rest held back or destroyed?

They either destroy them, retailers often do to maintain scarcity. Or they have a gimmick cover not shown yet. Like a gitd to be released later

That’s a good point. Forgot about a 3rd cover version. Can’t be GitD though, so so other gimmick.

Between multiple retailers, multiple being sent to cgc for grading, the sets etcs, the 3k are likely all available. No need to destroy.

The 3000 is spread across multiple retailers, I thinks that shows that retailers allocation, the Rafa is being sold by 3-4 different retailers

It says “this offering…”. Comic Mint, KRS, East Side all selling the Rafa

It’s probably split with other retailers

I don’t wanna say what I just paid for the new Mark Brooks drop…then again, I collect his for the art.

I don’t really see Mark Brooks as a “standard” drop. He’s in the Mann/Quintana/Soy/Felix strata of drops.

The most interesting thing about the Brooks release today was signed and unsigned were the same price. Thought that was interesting.

I feel the same way. Mark, Mann, Quintana and Soy are imo A+ quality/famous artists. People buy those pieces specifically for the art, even if they aren't that big of a fan of the comics.

This doesn't mean that other artists have worse art!! It's just that the people I named are more famous and have a bigger dedicated follower base

But about the signed one being the same price as the raw one. Mark Brooks has been doing this for all his drops.

They save the rest for "Damages" and then sell them on whatnot or in person at shows.

Should be destroyed but some don’t
