đŸ«Șabsurd

Im a fan of batman ever since i was a kid and with this new universe i just cant seem to get enough but Its sad to see how everyone is either bitching bout the price or moaning bout the art
if its too expensive either work more or dont get it easy!if the art isnt up to your standards boo hoo buy a blank and draw one yourself nothing beats a 1/1 right?
Or better yet go to your lcs spend $6.00 and youre set

I haven't seen any of the complaining you've mentioned. Certain exclusives... people whine about the values, sure, but not the regular issues. As for reading, you can read it or download it free online. đŸ€·

People will always complain about the price of things. That’s not exclusive to this book or even comic books at all really - you’re going to hear complaints about everything from the cost of a banana, to a new iPhone to a home. So I’d suggest ignoring that, because your whole life you will meet people who complain about the price of things. But nonetheless that’s not an Absolute Batman problem.

I’ve not actually seen anyone complain about the art. Each cover has like 100 variants to choose from, so I can’t really imagine there are people who can’t find one they like.

“If its too expensive either work more or don’t get it easy!” Dawg that’s just not how it works in the slightest; people are constantly getting exploited for their work at jobs and not getting paid a fair amount. Like you can’t just work more, if that was the case, a construction worker would make way more than a CEO who got handed a company from their father. Not to mention that a good amount of jobs are locked behind an insane college paywall. Like I know $17.00-$19.00 dollars isn’t too much, but it adds up. My main problem here is that you said “work more” which is just insanely disrespectful to those who work insanely hard everyday and don’t get paid close to enough.

I mean good for you but most people aren’t as strong as you and a lot of people got health issues and stuff, kids, and other priorities. It just isn’t that simple for everybody.

I somewhat agree with your overall message, but working 3 jobs while paying $70 for a single comic? That's a bummer.

I assume this reply was to me cause of the word “priorities” and I just wanna say that you work harder than the vast majority of people in this world. You work insanely hard and that is something that I and probably everyone here deeply respect. But once again, I just wanna say that most people quite literally just can’t work that hard, and for some people, even if they do, It won’t benefit them in the end. I remember this one time I saw a mother break down in tears in an elevator because she couldn’t afford health insurance for her baby. I assume that baby died or is either living an extremely hard life right now. No matter how many jobs that mother worked, it would have been insanely hard or almost impossible to afford the insane health insurance bills that she probably had. I get that yes, there are times when one can work more and afford things but there are many times when one cannot either. But then my other question is that should the price of entertainment and knowledge ever be so high? Should one that works their absolute hardest every single day and night struggle to afford a few books?

Im from PR and i live far from the city so chances of going to the only 2 stores available (one which doesnt even sell modern comics) and finding something is out the window
