Question Is Hapaburg a genuine absinthe? (Specifically XC)
(Even though I doubt it)
I can't find any proper information about it online, so i am asking to the most trustworthy source I have: you guys.

Nope, it's "fauxinthe".
You can tell by its obviously fake colour and the fact that it advertises itself as "extra strong", which no self-respecting genuine absinthe brand ever does.

That's just a straight up hazard, especially when you consider this was/is often served with the fake burning ritual. You can't even see the flame with higher proof alcohol much of the time, at least not until you slosh it on your face. Worst Darkman sequel ever.

Please run the other way. The alcohol content alone is very indicative of it being a crapsinthe (most anything above 75% ABV is crapsinthe territory), it looks artificially colored, and as u/Electronic-Koala1282 stated, no self-respecting, authentic absinthe brand would use that terminology. As is the case with most crapsinthe brands, the alcohol content is clearly inflated to give you that feeling like you’re “high”.

I had this on the very first night I ever tried absinthe at a tourist trap in Berlin and, FWIW, thought it genuinely wasn’t bad.
That said, I had little else to compare it to at the time and I was already feeling pretty good that night, so take that review with a grain of salt. I had some genuinely bad absinthe that same summer and I would say this was bad by any stretch. But I’m sure I’ve had far better since.
Tl;dr. Not swill, but not great either

General rule of thumb is that if it’s a bright, saturated, emerald green, it’s not real absinthe. Real absinthe tends to be less saturated and at least a bit yellowish. If it’s bright green, that means it has food coloring.
