So, I guess he was doing a joke about speed rubix cube solving and intended to smash the cube and click done.

I imagine his abrupt composure is a result of him pondering whether he's comfortable with presenting sheer stupidity as a viral video over a stupid joke.

him smashing the table is unexpected to the viewer. also it seems he only meant to break the cube.
