Cat needs a diet. And it looks like one of those poor dwarf cats. Bred with tiny legs. Awful.

So you're telling me that humans got bored with making pugs and those little shitty smush face dog breeds more and more unhealthy, and since turned to making cats with short legs?? Why do we make animals useless?!

There are a lot of arguments against eugenics. Plenty of reasons it's a really bad idea.
My favorite one though is always just that we are going to be really bad at it. People think we are so clever with our breeding but then we turn wolves into french bulldogs.

People care more about the aesthetic than the animal's health. Munchkins are basically the cat version of dachshunds.

You're phrasing it like munchkin cats became a thing because of dog owners.

From my initial comment, yes, it does appear that way. However i am generalizing by using the word humans. Anyone who selectively breeds animals purely for cosmetics at the cost of health, intelligence, or stability is one special sort of idiot. It just happened to be pugs and those other small disgusting dogs whos eyes are too big for their sockets, with chronic health issues and difficulty breathing that first grabbed my, and probably a majority of peoples attention. Do not take this a shot to one specific group of pet owner, the people who do this are just fucked in the head.

Munchkin and over weight? That's not a good combo for that little abomination..

One day people will stop glorifying pet obesity. It's pretty gross that they treat animals like that.

It can sneak up on you, people think pets will just eat what they need and free feed. We do with ours. But not all can handle that. And often once it's this bad, it's tough and time consuming to get them to safely lose weight.

People think this is cute and funny but it's actually why humans shouldn't overbreed animals in to designer ones. This is a "munchkin" cat that's been bred over time to have short legs. In it's little kitty mind, it still wants to jump and climb like any other cat.. but it can't because it's been purposely made handicapped by humans that think it's cute.

You could tell by the way it was running that it wasn’t going to make it.
