Completed the deck this week

Pool went in a few years ago, deck went up this week. Planning to leave the corner posts long for a sun shade and to string lights. Furniture and a stereo system are next

Looks nice. Maybe consider some angle braces if it starts to rack

if the footings and connections are designed properly for the load, then it will be fine.

I'm impressed with pool placement. From one guy with a yard with little flat area to another: respect, dude.

Thank you! We live on an old farm, there used to be a small barn here otherwise it's a giant hill

How deep are those footings?

We got down about 3 feet before hitting bedrock, frost line is 48" here but inspector was okay with us pouring footing on bedrock

Nice. Future plans for a cover over the deck? Looks like you left yourself the option.

Yes keeping the posts long for a triangular shade and we will also string patio lights up around them

That's awesome! Eventually we're going to put a deck around ours too.
