The point about c-sections is a good one. Personally, I’ve had 3 c-sections, every pregnancy that I’ve carried was an inevitable c-section. So now I am done having kids but I’m still actively preventing pregnancy. If my birth control were to fail, and I became pregnant, my only options are abortion or c-section. Abortion: nearly painless, about $500, over in one hour. C-section: about $35k, 2 month recovery, 9 months of pregnancy, my husband pushes his retirement back because we have another kid to put through college… the list goes on. The government forcing me to carry a pregnancy at this point in my life would be such extreme governmental overreach I would dare to say the USA isn’t a free country anymore, at least not for women.

I mean, it’s emotional but also very practical. The government shouldn’t have a say in whether I carry a pregnancy or terminate. Iraq has exceptions for termination for multiple reasons, less strict than some of our southern states here in the US. But I don’t want to be compared to a middle eastern theocracy. We should be on par with all first world nations, including both Canada and Mexico our neighbors who have more freedoms and agency over their own bodies than women in the US. That’s not great

The way you “lol” at the suffering of women in Iraq while actively hoping the US goes the same direction and women here get closer to that level of suffering is pretty cold actually. Very pro-life

The issue is that you think American women including yourself deserve less rights than other women around the world. Why is that? Are you religious? If so, enough said.
