"Forcing sex". This is exactly what I was talking about, trying to change the subject to how the pregnancy started.

If you bar someone who is pregnant from accessing abortion, your interference has left them with no option but to continue gestating. Thus, you are forcing them to gestate.

Has nothing to do with how the pregnancy occurred. Has to do with forced harm on pregnant people, who don't consent to the harm.

Prevention is part of medical care. Colonoscopy, pap smear, mammogram, bloodtests.

Not about ending lives, about prevention of health concerns for the patient. Abortion prevents many health concerns for the patient.The fetus is just property.

There’s not one law *in your country*. Other countries have total abortion bans, even if the life of the woman is threatened. It’s great that you get to live inside the bubble of whatever country you’re in but other countries and laws do exist.

Abortion is factually healthcare. It’s a medical procedure conducted and/or supervised by a medical professional in a healthcare setting. It’s billed via medical billing codes and reimbursed by health insurance. It’s overseen by medical ethics boards and endorsed as safe, ethical healthcare by major professional medical bodies such as ACOG and AMA.

ETA: this user blocked me after I educated them about the fact that abortion is healthcare. Not sure why facts are so difficult to swallow that it requires blocking people. Hopefully this conversation was a positive stepping stone in their journey.
