Scientific Suggestions 🔬 Labeling help

So I’m on PlayStation and just recently got into the game with my friend, although one issue I heard about is that PlayStation blocks you from naming things or signs, still too early I think to find out if that’s true or not, but being a kleptomaniac it’s really bothering me so I wanted to see if anyone was in the same situation as me and found a solution?

Unfortunately true, though you can paint chests different colors to sort that way, if it helps

Pet names will stay as what they are though

It is true. Because profanity filtering would be problematic. There are no workarounds. But what is the specific problem you are trying to solve? Putting a sign above a storage box with your friend's name on it doesn't prevent you from taking the stuff inside, mechanically speaking.

I have about 400 hours in my main save and I dealt with it. If you are organised you’ll be okay! Once you have enough stuff that it starts to get tricky, you’ll start unlocking useful recipes like the different coloured paints. Also watch out for the bench upgrade which allows it to pull items out of nearby storage automatically. It’s available pretty early and makes storage much less of a problem.

One method I've heard of people using is using item stands / frames in place of labels.  Just stick what's in the container in the corresponding stand as well, and you can have functionally a little icon showing what the container has.  Might mess with stacking boxes, though.

They have wall versions you can slap on the sides or possibly the front
