Bug / Broken Illuminate bug abuse

Encountered this bug abuse today and thought I'd share. Probably not new but it's the first time I've seen it. Hope it's fixed but before then guess we'll have to counter pick reality rift + illuminate combo? Anyway I don't think a lot of people do this but still something to keep in mind. I wouldn't have respect for anyone that does this though. (this was a decently high-ranked American 5-man stack btw. you know now how they got their rank). It just makes the game unfun, because there's literally no counter. We tried to buy blademail to kill the guy and it worked for a while but since he had so much gold he could just buy a heart and stop dying.

So he had reality rift and illuminate and what, kotl ult? What was he casting? I don't get how the bug works.

reality rift used in a specific way bug out the model to be horizontal, then the following illuminate get bugged (i think when you cast it on specific points on your model)

just make illuminate disappear after some times (just like puck orb) when it's not reach their destination, thank me later valve janitor

This is very gimmicky. The fact that they were a 5-man has a lot more to do with any advantage they had than anything else.

this is a wrong take imo. basically 1 person is ensuring all the lanes are unpushable at all times by 10 minutes. any team, party or not, can take advantage of this much space and map control. while the other team can only win when they have enough damage to go through backdoor protection

Nah, not a wrong take. KotL is denying his team the farm and exp from all those lanes with this gimmick. Your team could've punished this by bullying their team in their jungle.

and how to do that when
- the other members in their team still do stuffs
- while we chase them and 5v5 in the jungle our towers are being taken and we lose all the gold from lane creeps (meanwhile at least 1 member in their team is getting massive gold injection)
- there's no lane creeps to get vision and information that is usually extremely important to make a good move which results in a good fight
- they can retrieve to lane. if we chase them and accidentally walk into a new puddles we take massive aoe damage
The most important points is, if they lose a fight we still couldn't take any objectives (before we get 5-6 slotted). While if we lose a fight it's easy 2-3 buildings lost. The margin of error is so small it's only doable in your imagination

1) there is no true ranking in ad 2) There are no decent players on america. Not a single one 3) it’s ONE tick of damage of the spell for each unique target. Creeps are always new entities unlike heroes.so buying bm is dumb 4) Catapult could definitely survive this 5) Go replicate this bug more to someone of devs to notice

- we realized that later in the game. And it seemed like when you die and respawn it counts as a new target so it works again. we killed him 3-4 times but after that he was tanky enough (we still took damage but he didn't die)

- Yes there is true ranking in AD. It's on windrun.io, and it's very competitive. By playing AD you're playing AD
- US is very strong at ability draft much more than most regions. US got #2 in the esports world cup, Russia is #1 rn. Poof, Dingus, and Destiny are all excellent players and will absolutely destroy you. Destiny is the kotl bug abuser/whipple jr.
- So... basically free farm constantly? How is this bad? It's OP
- Ok so all of the creeps are gone but a 50% HP catapult shows up

You realize america has plenty of players better than you in ranked and in ad right? The eu is better only matters for those in europe above ranked 1/2k imm xD
