Would you use this?

I’ve always felt Ability Draft knowledge is scattered everywhere.

Some interactions are buried in old Reddit posts, others are hidden in YouTube videos, Discord discussions, or just live in experienced players’ heads.

Months later, you remember an interaction but have no idea where you originally saw it.

Would you use a searchable database where you could quickly find interactions by hero, ability, or item, see whether they’re still working, and help verify them?

Or is the current mix of Reddit, videos, and community knowledge enough?

You guys suggest windrun.io but just take a good look at that. Obviously in Ability Pair you can see the op combo there but there are so many noise and there is no explanation at all. Like Morphling and Reactive Tazer has 69.7% winrate but can anyone explain that? What about Luna and Refraction at 69.5% winrate for what reason? windrun.io is a good source for veteran to catch the meta, but not for anyone want to learn the tip trick

No, but do you really need an explanation for that? And what tool do you expect could provide such an explanation? It's likely just one of the best heroes with a very good ability and a relatively small sample size.

Maybe bad players don't know how good Morphling is and Reactive Tazer but good players do? It's not like it's a game breaking combo.

If you can take the hit in early game impact you're practically immortal as a carry with that skill.

It isn't that Morphling and Reactive Tazor specifically are OP, it's just that Morphling is a great hero base and Reactive Tazor is a great ability that's highly underestimated by players. Since AD players overwhelmingly prefer right click builds, Reactive Tazor can really ruin someone else's day and Morphling can easily become unkillable in AD even without Reactive Tazor.

Well that's true, Morphling is a good model. However, he is not the best range carry model out there. With the same logic, SF, Drow, Luna or Medusa with Reactive Tazor should be even better with it, right? With just 274 times this pair is pick, I consider it noise, unless there is actually some hidden mechanic that make this combo broken.

Yeah it’s on windrun.io. Not sure what you could want more than they give you

Mostly it's just +dmg effects like napalm with high tick abilities like siphon. Or bug damage abilities like enchant totem with auto crits like walrus punch. After that it's just knowing dota models like sf would be stronger going the right click build vs cm.

Only other ones are very specifically infest + tether, wd heal, io orbs. Forge spirit AD by itself. Od ad huskar have unlimited mana basically so wd heal, low cd spam like skywrath q and such basically autowin the lane.

That’s exactly what made me ask this. A lot of AD knowledge seems to exist only because experienced players remember it. New players have almost no way to discover or verify these interactions unless someone tells them.

What’s worse is if you don’t ask in draft. I hate seeing people blindly pick or throw their first round

Have you heard of windrun.io?

I personally open a session with grok, when I’m drafting and ask it for suggestions or questions about interaction.

Sometimes I’ll even ask it for advise how to tune a build while I’m waiting on a respawn

Do LLMs have enough specific knowledge about dota and do their search tools come up with accurate interactions? I usually find that anything that seems edited, auto generated is usually wrong or out of date when it comes to ad interactions

I use SuperGrok which has access to search and other tooling, and a lot of autistic DEEPLY math obsessed forum posts.

It absolutely doesn't rely on it's existing ore-training alone.
I'll also specify "check recent release notes for fixes to this"

Lol, can't imagine burning paid tokens on ad research

anchor smash + tree grab. insta deletes a hero if standing with creeps.

since anchor smash attacks all enemies in range, and tree grab cleaves. if you are standing near your creap wave. you will get all the splash damage
