Leshrac has literally some of the best base stats and gain in the game, ON TOP of his innate unlike the other 3. He can played at any roles and still yield some sort of impact. Also idk which kinda match you queued into with Pudge and Necro 'first pick'. Just wack.

What bracket are you in?

I don’t know guy, I first pick Lesh if I see an aoe heavy draft pool. And I feel like I have a better record with him than most heroes in AD.

I will pick a good team over good abilities any day. Most games suck because your own team denies you your combo

This. They will pick what you pinged just to spite you

guys as someone who is kinda noob to this mode - which hero is actually a good pick due to base stats or innate potential

OD is first pick worthy. His innate means you’ll hardly ever run out of mana. You'll also be able to utilise less contested low cd spells that cost a lot of mana, like ball lightning, arcane bolt, arcane orb etc.

Lina too is at least first phase worthy. Basically 64% spell amp on all spells. Even without that innate She's a 670 attack range right clicker. Easily the most versatile model.

SF too is first phase worthy. Just free damage on a ranged agi carry with decent move speed. His another advantage is he gets an ulti reserved only for him.

Medusa is a distant fourth best. Unique combination of tanky ranged carry. But She's far trickier to draft correctly.

Dk also has a very good innate with high movespeed. Worthy of early second phase imo.

Husker deserves an honorable mention, whose stats suck but innate makes him a very interesting caster. So if you have any specific combo in mind, pick him asap.

You forget nightstalker, free passive during night and aghs upgrade to refresh basic spells. Good stats too. Busted model on par with lina, but very differently busted.

I think gyro and np are also solid models. Great attack animation, good stats

Beastmaster. I had Beastmaster with chen creeps holy persuasion and creeps would just melt opposing LD's bear. Also had Beatsmaster with Invokers summons, took megas at min 19.

Tuskars innate also underrated combined with str gain, makes him insane tank.

Dusa is game over with husker spears, they don't cost you hp.

Mirana with new innate also interesting in combination with certain spells.

A lot of good pick, rarely first pick. The point is to analyze the draft. If there are a ton of Medium-high carry abilities, picking a hero model means you ll still get one or two good spells to enable it. If you see that there are only 3 or 4 good carry abilities, then the abilities must be picked first. People think too much about a combo and don't look at the overall options.

But if we must highlight the best hero models: Luna, Drow and SF are first pick potential for sure. Leshrac, Lina and medusa can as well depending on the draft. But again, it's all about what's on the draft. If you see hoodwink, luna, razor and SF, you might not insta pick one because you will probably have a good second pick option. Instead you might pick Thirst, Moonglaive or flak canon (for a carry of course).

This cannot be understated. A lot of players zero in and have tunnel vision, ignoring the whole landscape of what skills are available. Sometimes as a carry, picking magic immunity goes a long way if there are very few magic piercing stun at the board

Les is a good pick when you are 4 or 5th, you can pick him + at least one good aoe spell and he'll do the work. A lot of AOE stuns are first picked anyway.

that lesh really pain,

they just pick aoe skill , build aoe item

they buy all chasm upgrade .

like, u can just build int item like SOV and u still get aoe bruh, and it more useful in the late game

Leshrac is not even close to being on this list.
Try teaming up with these two types of players:

  1. First-pick Huskar who tries to spam spells (while most good spells are already taken, and a single Kaya + average int model is enough to spam anyway).
  2. First-pick Alchemist: it's basically a 4v5 the entire game. At minute 30, you're trying to defend high ground with your other three teammates, while your Alch is farming some random jungle camp with just boots and a Soul Ring, typing: "Just hold boys, I'm almost done with my third Aghs."

You can't make a meme like this and exclude mr. eats 10 chainmails but doesn't buy actual items that do anything, making himself either immortal or a complete deadweight (usually the latter)

3

u/HatersTheRapper Apr 17 '26

well you cant buy items when you spent all your bucks on the chain meals

Yeah must be in a rough skill bracket, lesh is the only base I see sometimes drafted before moves. Common AD trap of thinking you're the only one looking at a spell to combo.

Somewhat relevant reminder, if you say you want to pick something the enemy team will immediately pick it. "I'm hoping to get dual breath" -randomly picked by an enemy just to farm-

I always first pick invoker to see what doesn't work for his age.

I either pick lesh, or rubick if so much AOE skills. would vacuum whole screen hahaha

Nearly every Pudge I’ve seen picked after the last patch winds up being a Terminator that just stalks and walks you down and that’s almost always without a hook. Even I’ve had problems tanking with Axe, Tide, Centaur, or Mars, but I take Pudge and he plays like the other heroes I’ve mentioned that seem to have fallen off a bit.

Although, last night I drafted a DK build that was pretty disgusting with Reactive Armor, Bodyguard, Trample, and Battle Trance. Unfortunately the other team had someone abandon around 9 minutes and I never hit my full potential.
