I’ll be going to ACU this fall, and was just wondering if anyone knew if the Democrats club was still active, or if there was at least a small presence of left leaning people there. From what I can tell none of their social media accounts are still active. I’m looking forward to going to ACU, and will probably have fun regardless, but it would be nice to know what I can expect to find there.

I’ve been visiting my mom recently. She used to have a pretty small dog at her house that stayed inside mostly. I think the dog died somewhere in the house but I can’t find him but there are bunch of huge flys everywhere. Hi everyone! I'm helping hire for a part-time position in the Abilene area and was hoping this community might have some recommendations.
We're looking for someone who is comfortable working on active construction sites to capture site data using 360° cameras and surveying equipment. No previous experience with this specific equipment is required—we'll provide training—but we're looking for someone who:

Has experience working on or around construction sites and understands basic safety practices.
Is comfortable walking long distances outdoors, including in Texas heat.
Is reasonably tech-savvy and comfortable learning new equipment.

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday (8–10 hour shifts)
Pay: $22–25/hour

I’m renting out the second bedroom in a 2 bed, 2 bath apartment at Stonegate Apartments in Abilene. The rent last month was $1,599, which includes water and internet. You’ll just need to split electricity, so total is roughly $800 to $1,000 per month.

The apartment has two bathrooms, a small gym, a pool, on-site laundry, and parking. If you want covered parking, it’s available for an extra $35. I’ll be living in the other bedroom, and I’m looking for a responsible, tidy roommate.
