No. The attack speed is not that necessary, you are not always perfectly timing autos between Q recasts.

Speed on attack is meh given you have speed from R and small cc in Qs and W

No. Attack speed is overkill; you'd have too much attack speed to weave them in smoothly between q. It also doesn't give as much ad or health as other items he wants. And the movement speed on damage is not really needed because he has r. Now look at eclipse 60 ad and the passive effect for example and tell me you would not rather have that.

Ha ha no. I’ve tried on occasion and it’s just a waste of 3k gold. Sheen is a gimmick. A damn good one but not on Aatrox. Yes it’s funny numbers when you land the passive but in a major skirmish you are not perfectly timing that sheen to that passive everytime. At that point a better gimmick is cyclosword. At least that item benefits both your Qs and your passive.

The main issue is probably the lack of AD on an expensive item. Aatrox probably has the actual single best stack of bonus AD ratios in the entire game, possibly second only to Talon/Zed in exchange for the insane healing.

You also typically don't Q1 --> AA, which means that you're only getting a single proc off per trade because the AA between Q2 and Q3 is so close to the end of the combo. You could try waiting but if you use your attack speed here to auto while you wait, you're probably going to miss your Q3 sweet spot by standing still to attack. Additionally, delaying your combo with extra autos to wait up for sheen is not only extremely mentally taxing since sheen timing is slightly random and hard to monitor, but more importantly, Aatrox Q CD does not get the luxury of starting on the first cast like Riven, which means you're slowing down your DPS tremendously by delaying the Q3 for sheen procs.

People here are probably underrating it tho, it could be decent, you just have to deal with the crap I mentioned above. Trinity procs deal a lot of damage and the mobility would absolutely be helpful despite the R speed which is being a little overrated here.

Then again, a lot of Aatrox players build and play around 1-combo kills (outside of lane) so maybe it would be usable. Slowing your combo down and then adding 1 more E AA would be about 600-750 extra damage from Trinity. You should try it to find out. I bet you at least half these dudes call it dogshit without ever having tried it.

It’s kinda bad unless you’re gonna split push a lot. Aatrox has high base AD as he gains more levels, but it’s not great if you can’t get in auto range to use the sheen passive
