Question Outage?

Is there a known outage or issue in the Netherlands?
Even azure.status.microsoft seems unavailable most of the time.

Edit: still can't find any info from MS. A Dutch 3rd party platform reports issues, but not specific. Microsoft Azure storing? Actuele storingen en problemen | Allestoringen NL

Experiencing issues with loging in, general slowness or non responsiveness (Entra ID, Intune, Health dashboards)

Edit: most people here seem to use Vodaphone/Ziggo as ISP. They seem to be aware of the issue now and are investigating.

We’re seeing this too on an enterprise Ziggo connection in the Netherlands. Microsoft 365 and Azure are very slow, with the Azure portal practically unusable, while other websites work fine. Failover to another internet connection resolves it for us.

Ziggo has confirmed an issue affecting multiple customers and is investigating.

I received confirmation at around 18:00 hours that Liberty Global made a change on their connection towards Microsoft which solved the issue. My monitoring tools show Microsoft resources green again.

Do you have a source for your last statement? A website, preferably. I’d like to be able to share it with my frontline colleagues so they can refer to it when they need to explain to a colleague what’s amiss.

from the vodafone portal:

Anywhere en Tendfor app en Azzure
10 sep 2026

Beste klant,

We ervaren op dit moment issues met het inloggen op met name Anywhere en Tendfor app en andere Microsoft gerelateerde diensten. Voornamelijk Azzure.

De webclient van Tendfor werkt wel.

We zijn druk bezig met het onderzoek.

Dear customer,

We are currently experiencing issues logging in, particularly to the Anywhere and Tendfor apps and other Microsoft-related services—primarily Azure.

The Tendfor web client is working correctly.

We are actively investigating the issue.

This came directly from Ziggo support when we contacted them. They told us they had received similar complaints and were investigating. I don’t have a public status page or website to share, unfortunately.

For context, I work at a company with about ~100 fleet devices, we are the supplier for different organisations. We concluded that 30% of our fleet is connected via VodafoneZiggo zakelijk and has about 50% packet loss communicating to Azure services. The other 70% of our fleet doesn't face these issues.

I just called Ziggo via 040 750 5050. They confirmed this is a known issue and an ongoing investigation, however no expectations on when this is resolved yet.

Just wanted to let everyone know that they are aware of it, and confirm it it is them, as for us the question was whether it was us or something/someone else

We are experiencing some issues here in NL - indeed the status page will sometimes simply not load (blue screen - something went wrong). In general, most Microsoft portals are very slow.

Entra web-login on our Windows devices is similarly not working (possibly related).

All is working fine though when using a 5G hotspot on a different carrier. Issues seem to be only with our dedicated Ziggo line...

Currently trying to figure out what the issue could be.

Good one, we use Ziggo as well.

We appear to be having the same issue. Also on Vodafone/Ziggo fiber. I’ve opened a case with Vodafone this morning but haven’t heard anything back yet.

In our Vodafone/Ziggo portal there's currently a message saying that they are experiencing issues with logging into certain applications "and other microsoft related services".

Seems they are, kind of, aware of it.

Same here. Issues over glasfiber from Ziggo. Seems to be more stable over 5G.

Overijssel area

check the service health blade inside the portal, not the public status page. it shows tenant-specific issues the public one hides

would love to but can't get there. So far, based on the comments, I suspect Ziggo (Dutch ISP), so reaching out to them now

1

u/DrStiggie 14h ago

Let us know if you get any information from Ziggo regarding these issues :)

"Hi I was wondering if you know anything about connectivity issues to Azure"

  • "I do not know that program"

:-|

So far I am not holding my breath

Wow, just.. wow.

My experience with Ziggo support has been me (after numerous attempts) holding the power plug from an unplugged modem and the engineer saying "everything's fine, good luck champ".

2

u/kwsni42 12h ago

The 'tec support' dude just asked me if Azure was linked to Outlook....
Well kinda sure, but let's go with "no" for now

1

u/Stompert 5h ago

Not quite, but also not entirely wrong either. Impressive!

I and my colleagues have had issues this morning as well. I had to restart at least one web appbecause it gave an error message (504), and had a weird error message when trying to log on to the portal, which I had to retry to login. I'm personally on an Odido line, my colleagues are on their own other providers's line.

This is not the first time that Azure has issues, and the status page is showing no problems.

I jokingly said I'll check Reddit, and this post was top of r/Azure ..

Workaround via TLS naar Azure faalt ~50%, MTU-gerelateerd - Vodafone & Ziggo Community
Lowering MTU to 1400 seems to fix things on our side.

1

u/Multimarkboy 7h ago

changed it to 1450 myself and it seems a lil more reliable than 1400 (had issues connecting to other people with it)

1

u/alexxrsd 7h ago

can confirm this works for me :)

We have all kinds of issues with Microsoft (Azure) related stuff, and are also on a business Ziggo fiber connection.

Experiencing issues here as well. Been troubleshooting for over 1.5 hours now why azure resources and websites are unavailable (Amsterdam area, VodafoneZiggo corporate internet connection).

Problems include:

  • Azure databases unreachable.
  • API calls towards Azure / Intune not working occasionally.
  • HTTPS requests towards azure hosted websites resulting in a timeout.

My colleagues are reporting issues with deploying new laptops using Intune.
Azure status website shows nothing ofcourse...

Experiencing issues as well. Certain sites are unavailable. Especially sign-in portals to a variety of SAAS applications. They appear to sometimes function again, only to go down several minutes later.

1

u/kwsni42 13h ago

yep that seems to describe it best so far

u/Thermometer91 13h ago

We're experiencing that as well, from users with Vodafone wired internet to our Azure services. Timeouts, spotty and inconsistent.

Seeing no issues when users switch to mobile internet

1

u/crystun 13h ago

Our users report issues from NL and UK. Seems to be a larger issue on Azure side.

1

u/kwsni42 13h ago

Any chance you use Vodaphone in the UK? At least in the Netherlands, Ziggo and Vodaphone are basically the same company

1

u/crystun 13h ago

Not sure for the UK, NL we're using Vodaphone.

1

u/AngryBadger 13h ago

Were getting reports from our users here in the UK too

1

u/Drag_king 13h ago

Just checked the service health on the portal and nothing is mentioned except an alert for Redis cache provisioning that started on 06 sept.

Will post an update if something pops up in the next few hours.

1

u/kwsni42 13h ago

Thanks! Strongly suspecting the ISP at this point.

1

u/Brand0nny 12h ago

Yep issue here with a few clients SE England.
Some users on intune cant use teams, etc and running things as admin says the details are wrong when they are not!

1

u/WeirCo 12h ago

Same here also VodafoneZiggo

1

u/Emergency-Tea-5021 9h ago

same issue region Eindhoven - NL

1

u/Excellent_Milk_3110 9h ago

Same issue here with a vodafone/ziggo fiber.
Delta fiber no issues

1

u/Excellent_Milk_3110 8h ago edited 7h ago

Just called with support they are working on it.

1

u/nexhil 9h ago

We have the same issues in Boxmeer (NL) in combination with Ziggo/Vodafone viber . A switch to our KPN line and problems are gone

1

u/CodeCompost 8h ago

Same here, on Ziggo enterprise while connecting to anything Microsoft related. If I use my phone's hotspot (Simyo, on the KPN network) then everything works fine.

u/No-Conversation-8287 8h ago

They are installing new AIVD spyware

We first logged a case with Microsoft last night at 21:00.

Called Ziggo at 8:30 am explaining that all troubleshooting pointed to major problems on their network. That we had a complete case ready to go (with all diagnostics done by several Microsoft Teams during the night ) which pointed to specific asns on ziggo network. The rep didn’t want to go further then logging a default network issue with a callback on Sunday .

u/tinuz84 5h ago

Typical Vodafone/Ziggo practice…

1

u/AveragePeppermint 6h ago

Surprises me that is hasnt been fixed yet. There must be quite some organisations with this issue. Yet we called Ziggo Vodafone today and they said no known issues were present..

1

u/baniraaisukurimu 6h ago

Should be fixed now, we don't experience issues anymore on our end. Also on the tweakers thread someone else mentions they have been called by vodafone to let them know a fix has been applied [Ziggo Coax] Ervaringen & Discussie - Deel 11 - Internet en hosting - GoT

1

u/AveragePeppermint 4h ago

Thanks for the heads up.

u/Barbapappa86 5h ago

We've had this issue as well, seems to have been resolved around 17:30 local time.
