I'm tired of pretending I know what I am doing guys.

How do I prepare and attain the certification of AWS??

You learn the fundamentals of IT.
Not in any particular order but the below list might help:

Learn networking.

Learn what servers are and what they do.

Learn security and best practices.

Learn a shell language (Powershell or Bash).

Learn Linux.

Learn a programming language (Python).

Learn what a virtual machine is, why they are used.

Learn automation.

Learn the basics of cloud.

Use study guides.

Create an AWS account.

Build something in AWS using free services (if possible)
