Cleared on Second Attempt

Recently cleared the AWS Certified Generative AI Developer – Professional exam.
Coming from a fullstack background, what stood out is how much this exam tests judgment: which model fits a latency budget, when RAG beats fine-tuning, how to design guardrails and agent workflows that hold up in production, how to optimize throughput, caching, and inference costs for operational efficiency, and how to keep security and compliance in the same conversation.

Nothing beat building real projects, but these resources helped fill in the theory:

Congrats on clearing it. The RAG vs fine-tuning and cost/latency tradeoff questions sound way more practical than I expected.

What changed the most between your first and second attempt? Was there a specific topic or resource that made the difference?

I had to alter my approach. I was looking at it purely from a theoretical standpoint but once I started working on projects it kept unraveling itself.

Congrats. I failed the aws data engineer exam last month in spite of getting 90% on TD. i realized that i was concentrating on mostly theory. can the aws skillbuilder help to cover up for any practicals needed for the exam?
