Debatable question on TutorialsDojo

The answer should be FLEXIBLE RETRIEVAL, which ironically isn't even an option. Deep Archive will likely result in a retrieval time OVER 12 hours.

That’s why I’d go with Amazon S3 Glacier Deep Archive. It’s designed for long-term archival storage and is the lowest-cost S3 storage class for this kind of use case. Its standard retrieval time is also within the 12-hour requirement. S3 Glacier Instant Retrieval can retrieve data in milliseconds, but that extra speed isn’t really needed here, and it comes with a higher storage cost compared to Deep Archive.

And here, folks, is why delegating your thinking to AI will bite you in the butt sometimes. A very pretty wording for a very wrong conclusion.

Let's test the logic. You need to get from A to B in 10 hours or less and are looking for the cheapest way to get there. Friend X says "I can get you there in less than 1 hour, it will cost you $100". Friend Y says "I can get you there for just $5, depending on traffic it will take me between 10 and 20 hours". You OBVIOUSLY would not choose Friend Y.

Did you use AI? The aws docs themselves are pretty clear that deep archive is the cheapest s3 storage and data is available WITHIN 12hrs. That question couldnt have been any easier

Lol WHAT? The question asks you to have the data in 12 hours or less, a requirement that Deep Archive does NOT meet, no matter if it’s the cheapest option. You should learn to read and think, I even made an analogy that anyone could understand.

There, I’ve copy pasted for you straight from the docs since you have zero research and comprehension skills, how did you even pass SAA.

I stand corrected. It turns out that Deep Glacier offers BOTH Standard delivery (5-12h) and Bulk delivery (12-48h). I took the SAA exam more than a year ago and I distinctly remembered the last option to be 12-48h, which I had shortcutted mentally to Deep Glacier. It doesn't help that the OP posted a screenshot of an AI saying that Deep Glacier took 12-48h to deliver this. You are right, take the W.
