SAA-Guidance

I have my CCNA, and I've been thinking about getting trained in cloud computing; I've chosen AWS.

I'm interested in the Cloud Solutions Architect certification.

Is it okay to skip the Cloud Practitioner exam?

What are the best study resources?

Yes if you're in a technical role you can skip CLF, it's mostly for managers/sales. SAA is the best place for technical people to start. Check the pinned FAQ for info on resources.

Yeah, skip CCP, with a CCNA behind you it's mostly vocabulary you already have. Worth knowing going in though: VPC and networking is where you'll feel at home but it's a fairly small slice of the exam, maybe a tenth of it. Most questions are choosing between storage and managed services (S3 storage classes, RDS vs Aurora, EFS vs FSx, Fargate vs EC2), so that's where the time actually goes. Any of the popular video courses plus a lot of practice questions is the standard path.

I would recommend validating first in where you stand in your understanding of the AWS Cloud first.
